For those who
don't quite know the story and only read the headlines, I advise you to read on
with this. On Monday, April 1st, 2012 at 12:43 am, The lead singer for the
popular band 'Of Mice and Men,' Austin Carlile, age 25, was arrested for
"Felonious Assault" In downtown Bowling Green and lodged in the
county jail.
Now,
for all the people that think
Austin did the wrong thing, please listen closely. Katelyn Norman, a fan
of 'Of Mice and Men' passed away from bone cancer very recently before the
event. One of Katelyn last wishes was to attended an 'Of Mice and Men'
concert. Austin was ill and wasn't met to preform, but he went out and did
it for Katelyn.
When she passe away the whole band
plunged into grief. This is evened even by the tweets coming from Austin's
twitter account
Please keep Katelyn & her
family in your prayers tonight, she is in critical condition, doctors have
sedated her. She is a true inspiration"
I told her not to be afraid because she wouldn’t be
alone. My mom is already an angel and would be taking care of her."

Austin took the death
so personally that he got a tattoo of Kateyln's name under his
knee

funeral and grieve. Can you now see how offended Carlile would have been when
he was playing at the Bowling Green in Ohio when a group of men deicide
they would try and provoke Austin and start mocking the Death of Katelyn,
A fan he cared so much for? Austin Carlile did NOT throw the first punch. Austin Carlile is very much against physical violence He even 'preaches' against it.
So now that you know the
full story, let me ask you something. In what world is it okay for somebody to
mock a person who had recently died of cancer, and even more so in front of a
person who has taken this very personally. Also, the only reason that the other
man did not get put in jail was because Austin was bigger and strong , there
for knocking him out. Austin did not throw the first punch and he was defending
himself and a fan he truly cared about. In my mind, he will always be a hero to many of people.
